What we'll ask
The waitlist application typically asks for:
- Parent contact details
- Child's name and date of birth (or expected date)
- The days of the week you'd like
- The earliest and latest date you'd like to start
- Any siblings already enrolled (we prioritise siblings of current families)
How long is the wait?
Wait times vary by centre, age band, and the days you need. As a rough guide:
- Babies (0-2): highest demand, longest wait. Often 12+ months for popular days at our long day care centres.
- Toddlers (2-3): moderate wait, often 6-12 months.
- Preschool (3-5): shorter wait at most centres, often a few months. Roseville and the preschool rooms at the long day care centres see more turnover at this age.
The director can give you a more specific estimate based on the days you need and the age of your child. It's worth applying early, especially for babies.
