Each of our centres maintains its own waitlist. To register your interest, you can use the form on the centre's own website, or use our central enquiry form below and we'll add you to the right list.

Centre waitlists

The fastest way to register interest is on the centre's own website:

Each form takes about 5 minutes and creates a waitlist record in our centre management system. You'll receive an automatic confirmation by email.

How the waitlists work

Each centre maintains its own waitlist, prioritised by:

1. Children of current and former families (sibling priority)
2. Date of waitlist application
3. Days requested matching room availability
4. Particular needs of the family

When places are limited, we also consider family circumstances and child-safety needs carefully. This includes giving appropriate priority to children at risk of harm and families experiencing significant vulnerability, in line with our enrolment and child-safety responsibilities.

Realistic wait times

Wait times vary significantly by centre, by room, and by the days you need. As a rough guide:

• Long day care, infant rooms: typically the longest waits, often 9-18 months for popular days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday)
• Long day care, older rooms: shorter waits, often 3-9 months
• Preschools: most families enrol for the school-readiness year, so the queue is roughly the year before that

Wait times are shorter for less-popular days (Mondays and Fridays) and for less-than-five-day weeks. The director can give you a current estimate when you tour.
