Childcare fees: 2026 daily rates.

Daily childcare fees across our 4 Sydney centres, by centre and by room. What's included in the fee, the operating hours, the term structure, and how the Child Care Subsidy reduces what you actually pay.

Childcare fees across our 4 Sydney centres for 2026. What's included depends on the centre. At Normanhurst and West Ryde (long day care, 6 weeks to 6 years), the daily fee covers all meals cooked on site (breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late afternoon snack), the education program, sunscreen, a bucket hat, and disposable nappies and baby formula for the under-3 rooms. At Roseville and St Ives Chase (preschool and long day care for children 2.5 to 6 years), the fee covers education, care, sunscreen and a bucket hat; children bring their own morning tea and lunch from home, and afternoon tea is provided by the centre for long day care children. To estimate what you'll actually pay after Child Care Subsidy, use the childcare fees calculator.

What you actually pay

Almost no family pays the full headline rate. The Child Care Subsidy reduces the fee by between 0% and 90% depending on your family income, and most working families fall somewhere in the 70-90% range. The CCS hourly rate cap of $15.19 means our daily rates are mostly within or just above the cap.

Use the CCS gap-fee calculator to estimate your actual out-of-pocket cost at each centre.

Closure dates and operating weeks

All four centres are CCS-approved centre-based early childhood services, open year round (50 weeks per year for Normanhurst, St Ives Chase, and West Ryde, and 49 weeks for Roseville). Normanhurst and West Ryde operate as long day care centres for children from 6 weeks to 6 years. Roseville and St Ives Chase offer preschool/kindergarten programs with extended hours for families who need a longer day. All centres close for a short break at Christmas/New Year and on public holidays.

Start Strong NSW funding for Long Day Care

The NSW Government provides Start Strong funding for Long Day Care to all four of our centres. Eligible children aged 3 and above can receive an annual fee reduction, applied as a weekly discount on the gap fee (after the Child Care Subsidy).

For 2026, the funding amounts are:

  • Children aged 4 and above (turning 4 on or before 31 July of the funding year): up to $1,783 per year
  • Children aged 3 (turning 3 on or before 31 July of the funding year): up to $423 per year
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children are eligible for the maximum funding rate: up to $2,563 (4 and above) or $769 (3-year-olds) per year

Funding is applied automatically once a family has signed a 2026 Fee Relief Declaration and Consent Form for the relevant child. The reduction shows on your weekly statement after the CCS.
