Why this step matters
When you enrol a child with us, we create an enrolment record with Services Australia. This record sits as a draft until you log in to your Centrelink online account and confirm it.
Until you confirm:
- No CCS will be paid to us on your behalf
- You'll be invoiced at the full fee, not the gap fee
- The CCS reduction will only apply once you confirm and Services Australia processes the change
How to confirm your enrolment
- Log in to myGov
- Go to your Centrelink online account
- Select Payments and Claims › Manage payments › Enrolments
- Find the enrolment for your child at our centre and click Confirm
- Review the details (centre name, child name, days of care, fees) and confirm
It takes a few minutes. Once confirmed, the CCS payment is generally backdated to the start of the enrolment, so you don't lose the subsidy for the first week or two.
What if you can't see the enrolment?
If you've enrolled with us but the enrolment isn't appearing in your Centrelink account:
- Make sure you have an active CCS claim with Services Australia
- Check that your CRN (Customer Reference Number) was provided to us at enrolment
- Contact our centre to verify we've submitted the enrolment to Services Australia
- If still missing after 48 hours, phone Services Australia on 136 150
What if your circumstances change?
You also need to update Centrelink if:
- Your family income changes significantly
- Your activity hours change (work, study, training)
- You change days of attendance at our centre
- Your child stops attending
Services Australia uses your declared income and activity to set your CCS percentage. If your circumstances change, your subsidy can change too.
